Top 5 Mobile VR Headsets for Real Estate Agents in 2022

Mobile VR headsets are a great alternative to full-fledged VR headsets like the Oculus Quest. If you don’t have the budget to spend thousands of dollars on a VR headset, there are many great alternatives that are great tools for showing virtual tours to potential buyers of the home you are trying to sell.

The following are 5 options that My360 have explored and tested and found to be ideal for our virtual tours. They’re all simple to use and are budget-friendly!

Google Cardboard Mobile VR Headset

Google Cardboard is a virtual reality headset that you can use with your phone.

This Mobile VR Headset is by far the most cost-effective, especially if you plan on purchasing headsets in quantity to provide as promotional gifts to your clients.

The Google Cardboard Headsets work with any smartphone with a screen size of 6 inches or larger.

They’re simple to use; simply place your phone in the box and take in the scenery! It also includes a useful strap to keep the device firmly in place on your face while you glance about.

Of course, the super low price is fantastic, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for, and the cardboard glasses are renowned for breaking and being unpleasant to wear, but they do the job!

Price

From 7 AUD

Pros

  • Very low in cost
  • Easy to use
  • Works on all phones
  • Includes headband

Cons

  • Low quality (cardboard)
  • Not durable
  • Not comfortable on the nose

Destek VR Headset With Bluetooth Controller

The Destek VR headset with bluetooth controller offers a considerably better look and feel, even if it is still considered a low-cost headset.

When using it on iOS, it comes with a remote bluetooth controller that can only be used for play/pause, back, and volume. For Android users, more features are accessible, but don’t anticipate miracles; for such a low fee, you can only expect basic features.

The headset has anti-blue light lenses that reduce eye strain when used for extended periods of time, and it works with practically any smartphone with a screen size of 4 inches or larger.

Price

$79 AUD

Pros

  • Comfortable and snug fit
  • Has bluetooth controller
  • Works on all phones
  • Includes headband
  • Adjustable pupil distance
  • Anti-Blue light lenses

Cons

  • Limited controller functionality
  • Bulky design

Merge VR Headset (AR & VR)

The headset was created with educational purposes in mind. This headset was designed for use on construction sites and factories, so it’s big and cumbersome — not exactly something to dazzle your real estate clients with…

This headset is not just appropriate for virtual reality (virtual tours), but also for any augmented reality application (games etc).

Price

$116 AUD

Pros

  • Comfortable fit with lots of padding
  • Works on all phones
  • Includes headband
  • Adjustable pupil distance
  • Works with AR & VR

Cons

  • Bulky & Clumsy Design
  • Not very durable (plastic)

Bnext VR Headset

If you want something a little more durable than the cardboard options, this headset is a terrific low-cost solution.

The headset works with all devices and is compatible with practically all phones with a 4 inch screen or higher. (Apps for iOS and Android are provided.)

It has a comfy (if a little bulky) adjustable strap and enough of padding to keep you comfortable for long periods of time.

The casing seemed a little “cheap,” so we’re guessing it won’t last long, but you can’t expect miracles at this price!

Price

$38 AUD

Pros

  • Adjustable extended strap
  • Works on all phones
  • Has FD & OD adjustments
  • Great low price

Cons

  • Low quality casing
  • Bulky strap

KHTAA VR Headset

Any mobile device with a 5 inch or larger screen can use the KHTAA VR headset.

It boasts a sleek, rounded-corner appearance that makes it appear less substantial than its competitors.

Its HD lenses provide a crystal clear image (depending on the image quality of the phone, of course), and the sturdy straps provide good value for the price.

It offers a fantastic 120o field of vision for widescreen watching, so you get a lot of viewing enjoyment for your money.

The one thing we didn’t enjoy about this headset was how difficult it was to adjust the straps, but that could just be due to my colleague’s large head!

Price

$177 AUD

Pros

  • Low cost but excellent quality
  • Works on all phones
  • 120º field of view for wide screen viewing
  • Sleek rounded design

Cons

  • The strap was somewhat difficult to adjust.
